DO YOU SHIP?

We offer shipping for our kits purchased through Etsy. We ship USPS 3-5 day shipping guarantee most Mondays and Thursdays except for holidays. **Unfortunately we do not offer free shipping on Lion’s Mane due to special packaging needs.

How long can I wait to open it?

If waiting longer than a couple of days, place in the fridge to avoid premature fruiting. The bags are ready to open upon receipt.

Can I use tap water?

Most public water systems are treated with chlorine and are not ideal for growing. You can leave an open container of tap water out over night or boil it then cool it to remove the chlorine. Well water works fine. A gallon of distilled water from the grocery store is plenty.

Can I grow multiple varieties together?

Yes, as long as temperature requirements for each mushroom type is met.

My kit came damaged! What do I do?

SHIITAKE: Follow the instructions as written. If you do not see growth in two weeks we can send you a replacement. The kits are very vigorous and can tolerate some abuse. In fact, shiitake may grow better when fractured anyway...

OYSTER: Follow the instructions as written. If you do not see growth in two weeks we can send you a replacement. The kits are very vigorous and can tolerate some abuse. When opening the kit try to avoid the broken section of the block.

LIONS MANE: Wait a few days upon receipt to allow the mycelium to regrow into a solid block. Once it feels firm to the touch follow the instructions as written. If you do not see pink growth in three weeks we can send you a replacement.

I live in <insert particularly hot or cold outdoor climate>, how do I encourage proper growth?

Make sure you grow the kit indoors where cool night time temperatures or hot day time temperatures won't be too extreme. Temperature fluctuations of up to ten degrees is fine. In addition, keep the kit away from any sources of direct hot or cold air, as it may have a drying affect and could impact harvest yields.

Do you sell grain spawn?

Direct any grain spawn related questions to snovalleymushrooms@gmail.com

I'm a local! Can I pick up my kit somewhere in the Seattle area?

Feel free to order online on our website for pickup at one of our weekend Seattle farmers markets via square at snovalleymushrooms.com/shop

Do you ship out of the country?

Unfortunately we can not ship out of the country (sorry, this includes Puerto Rico) due to the amount of time a kit can travel without being opened!

Can I order in bulk for a discount?

Unfortunately due to shipping costs we can not offer bulk discounts at this time. Local pickup or drop-off is available for ordering quantities of 10 or more.
